it will slip off while your trying to raise it to put it on jackstands...happened to me. The sequence of events that took place afterwards might be informative: Had the Dealer replace the pan...they didn't remove the dipstick while doing so and later, I found it was stuck in the engine. Didn't take it back to the Dealer (I was pissed). Pulled the engine myself and removed the new oil pan to find that RTV was EVERYWHERE (all over the oil pick-up tube,etc.) It would appear that replacing an oil pan with the engine in the car is hard to do cleanly. It was just a matter of time before all that excess RTV would've made it past the strainer and into the oil passages. I thought these guys knew how to work on Z's. (Courtesy Nissan, Dallas)
